Description
Aeroflow flexible split wire and hose overwrap is the perfect solution to protect wires, cables, wire harnesses where ease of installation is paramount. It offers innovative solutions for the protection of breakout areas on wiring harnesses and provides easy removal which isnecessary for inspection or maintenance of wires. Its inherent flexibility allows itto bend, coil and conform to irregular shapes. While its open and self-closing design allows it to be installed after components have been fitted. This wire and hose overwrap withstands up to 410F/ 210C and splashes of 660F / 350C. Not recommended for direct contact with heat source.
It is recommended for a tight fit choose an overwrap with a diameter that is a smaller size than required foryour application. For a more flexible/loose fit select an overwrap with a diameter that is the same size or slightly larger than your application, this will ensure that the cables are able to smoothly and easily move.
If the hose overwrap is notcut correctly it can fray. To prevent fraying use a hot cutting tool such as a hot knife or a soldering iron witha sharp tip. Slice the braid using even pressure to leave an evenly sealed edge on the wire overwrap. While the end is cooling you can flare it using a small cone-shaped object to hold it open. Once the overwrap is cut to size simply open up the sleeve overthe cable and finish it off with either heat shrink or Aeroflow hose end finishers for that professional look.
